COVID-19 Update
June 1st, 2020
Dear valued patients,
COVID-19 has been a very difficult time for all of us with the shutdown of Dentistry. We understand many of you have been forced to wait for dental care. Our clinic deeply appreciates your understanding and patience while we were closed to control the spread of the coronavirus in our community.
Our reopening of non-emergency and elective dental treatment will commence on June 8th, 2020. This will be a gradual reopening of services. To manage the large backlog of patients and PPE supplies, our office will be scheduling appointments in two-week increments.
Our administrative hours of operation for June will be:
Monday 10 AM-8 PM
Tuesday 8 AM-5 PM
Wednesday 8 AM-5 PM
Thursday 10 AM-8 PM
Saturday 9 AM-3 AM
*We will be available by phone, email and SMS during these hours.
To stay up to date on any changes please follow us on Instagram and Facebook.
For detailed information on our reopening procedures please visit our COVID-19 FAQ page.
At this time we are mandated to:
- Pre-screen ALL visitors for symptoms of COVID-19 the day before your appointment and again upon your arrival.
- Measure your temperature before entering our clinic.
- Require that you wait in your car until called by one of our team members.
- Request that you bring your own mask.
- Any accompanying persons wait outside the clinic including parents/guardians of minor children if possible.
*Any patients showing signs of a fever or other symptoms of illness will be asked to reschedule their appointment.
Our patient’s and team’s safety continues to be top of our priority. We have carefully prepared our clinic, acquired the necessary PPE, trained our staff, and are adhering to the most recent Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RSCDSO) guidelines. We have also implemented numerous other pre-cautions within our clinic beyond the scope of the RSCDO guidelines as additional precautions. Please be assured that we will be taking care of you just as well as we will be taking care of our own families.
As you can imagine we have been anxiously waiting to announce our reopening, as we have missed you all. We are proceeding with an abundance of caution, and we want you to feel as confident as we do that any visit you make to our office will be a safe one. There is a lot of uncertainty and change in the world right now, but our office and our team are adapting and will be there for you and your family as we navigate our new normal.
With warm thanks,
Dr. Asha Bhanot & the entire South Georgetown Dental Team
